Tonight is such a lucky night for me. I get to read the latest translation of Kuroshitsuji chapter 40 and it's all thanks to Bleach Asylum. The guys there are so wonderful. I simply can't live without my monthly dose of Kuroshitsuji after all. (^_~)
In this chapter, after the discovery of Georg's murder, everyone in the mansion arrived at the murder scene, with Ciel being the last to enter. Irene managed to point out that the room was locked while the murder is committed, hence turning the case into a locked room murder. This is churning out into a Sherlock Holmes style of crime scenes and I am loving it a lot.
Ciel proceeded to explain how a locked room murder can be achieved with the use of a needle and thread. Yet eventually as he was unable to produce any alibi to separate himself from the crime scene, he was placed as the number one suspect. As a result, he was chained to Arthur in order to make sure that he would not try to commit another murder again.
That tender loving scene we saw of Ciel's family is truly endearing when he recalled how he used to be so scared of thunder that he crawled into his parents' bed to seek comfort. My heart aches when he said that now he has no one to stay by his side. Apparently Arthur thought the same way as he patted gently on Ciel's head in an effort to comfort him.
The focus then shifted to Sebastian as he went back to the murder scene to clear the hearth, as instructed by Ciel. Somehow Ciel knows that there is something hidden in the hearth and Sebastian is the only one who can check it out, being a butler and all.
Yet when Sebastian was checking out the hearth, a mysterious figure appeared behind him and appeared to prepare to strike Sebastian. That's when the chapter ends and leaves the reader hanging for more.
Yana sensei is so good at creating the mystery and suspense for this current arc and I am so looking forward to the next chapter. In my opinion, I believe the murderer could be Irene as the most innocent person is usually the most suspicious person too. I wanted to guess Arthur as the murderer but seeing this arc is written from his perspective, he can't be the murderer at all.
So for now, I can only wait till 18 January 2010, when the next chapter comes out in the next issue. The case won't get solved that fast but I'm sure Yana sensei will present us with more clues to decipher the case.

Manga Read: Bleach Chapter 383 to 386
Continuing from Bleach chapter 382, chapter 383 sees the battle between the two shinigami captains, Kuchiki Byakuya and Kenpachi Zaraki, and Yammy going into full force when Yammy transforms himself. The result of the transformation can be seen below.
It seems like the sole factor to make Yammy's powers stronger is to get him angry. The angrier the better. That is certainly a huge size, even for an espada. How will the two shinigami captains deal with him?
Meanwhile, the focus shifted back to Karakura Town where Aizen tries to instigate Shinji into attacking him. Will Ichigo rush back on time to save them all? Will Shinji's strong confidence in Ichigo pays off?
On the other side, chapter 384 sees Komamura Sajin, captain of the 7th division, heading off Tousen, who has gained the powers of a Hollow. His transformation is a full on head mask.
Tousen decided to abandon his shinigami roots and seek the powers of a Hollow to make himself stronger than ever. How will Komamura face off against such a strong opponent? Will calling bankai help?
Captain Komamura's bankai looks impressive but is it enough to fend off the hollowified Tousen? We have seen how powerful a Hollowified shinigami can get. Examples are Ichigo and the vizards.
In chapter 385 we see two showdowns. One between Shinji and Aizen, the other between Komamura and Tousen. Who will come out as the victor?
How will it end for them?
Chapter 386 is the latest installment to this exciting series and I am glad to have caught up to it finally. Here we see that Tousen evolved into a terrible being as can be seen below.
In his battle against Komamura, he seems to have the upper hand as he striked the captain down easily. However it is actually Komanura who does not wish to fight against Tousen anymore. He wants to be the vessel to accept and heal Tousen's disillusioned heart.
However Hiragi dealt a heavy blow to Tousen before he could finish off Komamura. Finally Hiragi gets his rightfully deserved spotlight here.
Just one strike and that is it for Tousen. Will he finally be finished off in the next chapter? I predict that we will see a tribute to Tousen in the next chapter, if he is truly defeated once and for all. Too bad Ichigo still hasn't gotten his spotlight in the human world yet. Perhaps we shall see him soon in the next couple of chapters. Or we might not.
Kubo sensei sure can draw out a long battle that doesn't see the need for Ichigo's appearance. Wahaha.... Let's wait and see, shall we?

In Bleach chapter 376, we see Aizen finished off Halibel as she tried to attack him back. Now he declares his move on the Gotei 13 as well as the vizards. How will the battle turn out?
Before we see that, the story turns to Mashiro's battle with Wonderweiss, who seems intent on fighting back no matter how many times Mashiro kicked him down. At the very last moment, Mashiro's hollow mask suddenly cracks, giving Wonderweiss a chance to smash her face.
Muguruma Kensei stepped in before Wonderweiss can defeat Mashiro completely.
From the picture above, you can see how impressive Kensei gets when he releases his bankai. How will the battle turn out? The next page changes the focus back to Aizen, who is now being confronted by both the Gotei 13 and the vizards.
He succeeded in taking down Hiyori who is unable to control herself and tried to attack Aizen. The chapter ends with a picture of Ichigo, as seen below.
Will Ichigo finally made his appearance after such a long absence? Not to worry. Kubo sensei finally rewards his fans with a long awaited appearance of Ichigo and he sure appeared in style. See the picture below.
Ichigo comes to Rukia's rescue amidst a whirl of smoke. How is cool is that? As Ichigo prepares for battle, he draws his opponent away from Rukia and starts getting serious in his battle.
However in chapter 379, something goes terribly wrong with Ichigo's hollowification and at the last crucial moment, he was unable to summon his mask out. He seemed on the verge of losing when unexpected help arrived in the form of Kuchiki Byakuya and Kenpachi Zaraki.
In chapter 380, Kenpachi is fighting off Yammy as the shinigamis persuade Ichigo to return to the human world. Being the stubborn guy that he is, Ichigo refused until Byakuya told him that as a representative shinigami of Karakura Town, he is obliged to go back and defend it. With that, we see Ichigo off below.
We see Ichigo travelling back to the human world together with Retsu Unohana, the captain of 4th division, in chapter 381. Here, Unohana warns Ichigo about Aizen's shikai and that he must never see it if he wants to defeat Aizen. That is the only condition in order to escape from the influence of Aizen's zanpakuto's power.
Again in chapter 382, we see the continuation of Ichigo's conversation with Unohana. However this time round, the talk is on Ichigo's reiatsu. All the while, Unohana thought that Ichigo's reiatsu is at captain's level with that half piece of shinigami clothing. However Ichigo said that it wasn't his full recovery so his shinigami clothes has yet to grow back fully. That said, Unohana realised that Ichigo could very well be their ultimate trump card after all.
Back in the battle against Yammy, Kenpachi has yet to defeat him fully but expects Byakuya to finish the job. They ended up quarrelling and forgot about their opponent. When Yammy ambushed them, Byakuya and Kenpachi retaliated and the combination can be seen below.
Poor Yammy. Faced with such a powerful attack from the two captain, will he finally succumbed to the battle? Let's onward to the next chapter.

After the defeat of Barragan in Chapter 370, Chapter 371 continues on with the battle focus on Starrk. He was momentarily affected by Barragan's death and almost wanted to give up fighting. Only Lilynette managed to persuade to fight back to avenge his ally. And so, in his battle against vizard Love Aikawa, he produced animals, as can be seen in the picture below.
How will the battle turns out for both of them? Starrk certainly looks impressive enough to reclaim his position as the no. 1 among the arrancars.
As it turned out, those animals that looked like wolves are actually the combined powers of both Starrk and Lilynette. It took out quite a lot of energy from Rose and Love in trying to deflect them. In chapter 373, we can see how impressive Starrk can get during battle when he is serious.
However in mid-battle, he gets stabbed by a blade. Where did that come from? Was it a secret enemy hiding somewhere from him?
In Chapter 374 we get the answer from Kyoraku Shunsui, captain of the 8th division. His zanpakuto is actually twin swords that has the ability to influence all players, including the owner, into abiding by its rules through turning child's game into reality.
One of the game techniques, Kageoni or Shadow Demon, forces the players to alter their own shadows; whoever steps on a shadow, even their own, is declared the loser. Another game technique, Irooni or Coloured Demon, involves the players calling out a name of a color and then slicing the enemy where that color is displayed. However, if the color is not on the body of the person who called it out then the damage given is minimal; the more that the declared color is prevalent on the declarer's body, the more damage the attack will commit.

Is that the end for Starrk and Lilynette? How will their battle end? We can see that in chapter 375. I suppose this chapter also counts as a tribute to Starrk and Lilynette.
Starrk is totally defeated by Shunsui and as he fell, memories from his past are flashed before the reader. We see how he met Lilynette for the first time and how Aizen approached him too. It was all loneliness before he had known Lilynette.
We see Lilynette for the last time as Kubo sensei dedicated a page to her and Starrk as seen in the picture below.
No matter what happens, Lilynette will stay with Starrk forever, even in death. How poignant. As for Aizen, he continues to be a heartless bastard. With the end of Starrk's battle, the focus now turns back to Halibel.
As Halibel faces off against attack from 2 vizards and 1 shinigami, Aizen made a sudden move in her battle. A shocking move, I would say. In a sudden about turn, Aizen decided that Halibel is no longer strong enough to fight for him and thus he proceeds to kill her off himself. See the picture below.
He is truly a heartless man and he spares no mercy to anybody. Perhaps the only exceptions are Gin and Kaname. So far they have remain constant by his side and they did not need to engage in battle the way Aizen made the arrancars do.
How will the plot turn next? I am curious to find out in the next chapter.

Here we get to see real action coming from the vizards as they attacked against the arrancars after the shinigamis have exhausted their energy.Most of them are stronger than the shinigamis and they managed to deal some heavy blows to the arrancars, who had been holding the upper power till now.
Kuna Mashiro gave powerful kicks to Wonderweiss and that strange creature, Fura, defeating them in the process. Bleach volume 42 covers chapters 359 to 367 and I have only just finished reading them. The chapters are pretty short so it's quite fast to browse them through.
Despite the shortness, Kubo Tite had drawn many interesting plot twists into this volume. For a start we get to see Wonderweiss again and he's brought along a strange-looking friend. See the pictures below and you'll get the idea.

Oh my.... I had just realised that I have posted more than 300 posts in this blog. I wasn't really aware of it until I was checking through my dashboard and saw the figure in the corner. Wow.... I have managed to type out so many pages of nonsense writing ^_~
Hmm it's not a milestone by any standard since this blog was started just over a year ago and I have not been posting regularly to it. If I had, the post counts would have hit a thousand. There's so many things that I want to write about but then when I get home, I have forgotten what I wanted to write.
Ad hoc postings is what I do all the time so it may seems like my blog has no proper structure. Unlike some other famous blogs where you can see what the general feel of the blog is about. Mine has no feel at all. Hee....
Ok maybe I write too much on manga and anime stuffs. I hope I am not considered an otaku even though my main interests are mangas and animes. I don't even do cosplay though that certainly sounds fun. My lousy sewing skills prevent me from doing so. Renting a costume is too expensive and so I shall continue to prance about in my normal daily wear. Oh la la....
Honestly I didn't realise there are people who do read this blog. If you are one of them, I apologise for my lousy writing skills. I put more pictures than writing. Hee...
Anyway I have applied for 2 weeks worth of leave and will be spending my time rotting at home. I am too lazy to go out and not many friends are free to go with me anyway. So I probably will post more, read more manga and watch more animes. Sounds good to me, you know.
Right now I am downloading One Piece manga and I hope to get started on my long neglected Bleach as well as Naruto. So much reading to do but since all I have now is time, it's not a big deal to spend it reading mangas.
I am so addicted to reading mangas that I don't even watch local tv shows anymore. That makes me wonder why I bought my LCD tv in the first place and a 40 inch one too.
I am such a crazy person after all. Woohoo~

Manga Read: Skip Beat! Chapter 150
Wow. Skip Beat! finally hit the big 1-5-0. It has been such a long journey together with Nakamura sensei. You can enjoy the chapter here.
This chapter follows the events that happened to Kyoko in chapter 149. Namely that would be the famous kissing scene between Ren and Kyoko. Oh my... Kyoko is such a lucky girl to have gotten so many kisses from guys around her. But then again, Kyoko probably wished she never got kissed by Shou. After all, he is her most hated person in the world.
In this chapter, her brains get fried the moment she thought of the kiss that Ren gave her and it affected her acting so much that she totally can't get back to work. Ren had no choice but to talk to her and made it as though the kiss was nothing but just a gesture of greeting, rather than the desire he truly felt for her.
Looks like our hero has a long way to go before he can finally start to woo his dolt of a girl. Hee... I am so looking forward to seeing how sensei would put them together. I bet it would generate tens of chapters before we get to see them together for one tiny bit. Sensei is so good at teasing her fans.

This chapter follows the events that happened to Kyoko in chapter 149. Namely that would be the famous kissing scene between Ren and Kyoko. Oh my... Kyoko is such a lucky girl to have gotten so many kisses from guys around her. But then again, Kyoko probably wished she never got kissed by Shou. After all, he is her most hated person in the world.
In this chapter, her brains get fried the moment she thought of the kiss that Ren gave her and it affected her acting so much that she totally can't get back to work. Ren had no choice but to talk to her and made it as though the kiss was nothing but just a gesture of greeting, rather than the desire he truly felt for her.
Looks like our hero has a long way to go before he can finally start to woo his dolt of a girl. Hee... I am so looking forward to seeing how sensei would put them together. I bet it would generate tens of chapters before we get to see them together for one tiny bit. Sensei is so good at teasing her fans.

Ok so by now I have already known my exam results and have went for my re-enrollment for next year. The thing is I really did flunked my business finance module and I am not going to go through that module again.
So the next thing I did at the re-enrollment day was to submit my application and chose my specialisation as human resource (HR), dropping business finance permanently.
The thing is, I will have to defer my studies by one more semester. I thought I could try my luck by trying to sign up for more modules in January so that I don't have to defer any modules. However the school's people just rang me up last night and told me the bad news.
Oh well. At least I can get to take HR, which I definitely ought to take in the first place but I was being cheeky, but will defer one module so that instead of ending my studies in December 2010, I will end it in May 2011. That is if I'm lucky not to fail anymore modules.
University level is indeed much more different from polytechnic level and it should be taken seriously. Well I should have put HR in the first place, since my diploma background was in HR anyway. Ah well at least during this past semester I had finally realised one thing: my brains don't like numbers. (^_~)

Yes! Kuroshitsuji chapter 40 RAW is out. You can get it at Bleach Asylum and remember to give thanks to the wonderful staffs there!
This month's issue is quite a big bumper at 42 pages. After the discovery of the murder in the previous chapter, how are they going to proceed from there in this chapter? Well we will have to wait for the translations to come out before we know the answer.
But there are some teasers in this release that makes me go awwww...

Now I'm A Fanatic. Or Not.
Like many other millions of users out there, I went ahead and bought myself an iPhone 3GS earlier tonight at the Singtel hello shop at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
I suppose you can say that it is an impulse buy for I had no original intent to buy anything tonight, other than having a dinner appointment with my university friends, Joanna and Vanessa. All I wanted to do was to check out the corporate price plan for buying and using the iPhone and voila! I ended up being an iPhone owner overnight.
My dear NTT Docomo Sharp phone has barely been used for half a year, mind you. The only saving grace that the iPhone will have over my SH-06A is the connection to Singtel's satellite. Now I will no longer experience a sudden signal cut from my phone.
I bought the white version of the 16GB model. Too bad the phone doesn't come in red. That would have been a killer model.
Nonetheless my fingers are not quite used to the typing on the iPhone's screen keyboard as I tend to hit the wrong letters. Just writing a SMS to my friend takes me around 10 mins as I just can't get the hang of the keyboard. Argh... I gotta keep practicing to master the typing for this iPhone.
Anyway I am not to going to become an Apple fanatic who gets all defensive if someone else critisize my phone. Go ahead. I also can't stand some of the nitty gritty details that are missing on the iPhone. For example, changing the ringtones and SMS tones should not be made so difficult. I know Apple wants to make more money but simply getting users to pay US$0.99 for a ringtone for a song that they already own in the first place is bullshit. That kind of money-grubbing attitude from Apple is something that I can't stand. Apple stands to earn millions just from selling songs via its iTunes store. Why does it need to earn more by forcing iPhone users to buy their ringtones from Apple? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I managed to get around changing my ringtones on the iPhone without buying them from the iTunes store but I can't change my SMS tones. Those are way too tough and require a jailbroken iPhone. I am not going to jailbreak my iPhone for the sake of some measly SMS tones.
Next, the wallpaper setting on the iPhone is quite weird. I only can see my wallpaper each time I unlock my iPhone to get to the main screen. The home screen doesn't show my wallpaper but a black blank background. Not very appealing to me. Being able to display the wallpaper on the home screen is a basic mobile phone function yet the iPhone is not that clever enough to allow that.
Then there's the odd missing function of allowing you to copy your contacts from your iPhone to your SIM card. Strangely enough, this function is not implemented by Apple. The only way iPhone owners can save their contacts is to sync to a PC via Microsoft Outlook. That is so unnecessary and stupid. Even my SH-06A can do this simple task. Why not the iPhone? That said, many experts acknowledge that the iPhone is not the most technologically advanced smartphone out there. It just happen to be the most user-friendly and the most popular, mostly thanks to Apple's skilled marketing tactics.
Oh well, I'll see how it goes for me. I hope I haven't wasted my bucks for nothing. See ya on the iPhone next time.

Manga Read: Skip Beat! Chapter 149
Yay! Latest chapter for Skip Beat! is finally here. You can get the chapter here.
Finally Ren gets his chance to kiss Kyoko and he's got the intended effect from her as well! See the pictures below and you'll know what I mean. All credits don't belong to me.
Now Kyoko can't stopped thinking about Ren and his presence. The exact same way that Shou occupied her mind with his forceful kiss too. However Ren obviously doesn't want her to keep thinking about Shou and hence he gave a small smooch on her cheek, not lips like what Shou did. Aww...
Meanwhile Moko-san gets stalked by her avid suitor and he even snatched away her chocolates. However, Hiou-kun came in to save the day, only to get insulted by the suitor. Eh, I can't recall who is suitor is. I gotta check back previous chapters as I have no memory of him at all. Probably he's too insignificant for me to remember. Hee...
Onwards to the next chapter!

Wisdom Teeth Are Pain In The A**
I have just had my first dental visit in what seems like eons to me. I can't even remember when was the last year that I visited a dentist. To be honest, I have never liked dentists much. The sounds they make when drilling holes into the teeth make me shiver and so I had managed to avoid seeing a dentist for so long.
However recently my wisdom tooth is starting to hurt my gum badly. It hurt so much that I can't use my right jaw to chew any food at all. Hot drinks or cold drinks serve to add pain to my already aching gum.
Anyway I went to the dental clinic that is closest to my home, Tan Dental Surgery. Dr. Tan wasn't that bad as he chirped away happily during my treatment. As my upper right wisdom tooth is grinding down on my lower jaw gums, he suggested doing an extraction soon. In the meantime, he would set everything nicely so that it wouldn't hurt so badly. I don't really understand what he meant by setting but they don't include any extraction.
The total bill came to $230 and so I'm terribly broke right now. I truly hate my wisdom tooth for giving me so much trouble. Now I still feel some soreness around the affected area but I will be going to a polyclinic to get a referral letter to get a specialist to extract my wisdom tooth. Man, I really can't stand the pain. (>.<)

iPhone price plans for M1 and Starhub out
Finally we get to compare the pricing plans for the highly sought after Apple iPhone offered by both M1 and Starhub. They have joined the market which used to be dominated by Singtel. How do their plans score?
Cnet has compiled a table for easy reference. The official date launch for both telcos are 9th December 2009, which is this coming Wednesday. Will many Singtel customers make the switch? For me, I am still under a current contract with Singtel and that will only be due next May. So I have got a long wait ahead of me.
Still it wouldn't hurt to start researching and comparing those prices. On the other hand, Singtel has announced they will be making revisions to their current price plans for the iPhone. How much of a difference it will make depends on how big (or small) the revisions are.

I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I managed to find the manga version of one of my favourite animes, 07 Ghost.
Seeing Teito and Frau again makes me feel so nostalgic. Oh by the way, you can get the manga here. The manga is still ongoing and this website is not quite up to date with all the recent releases but at least it's better than nothing at all.
This is because the manga is licenced and therefore we should support the mangaka by buying the books. However if you are poor like me, there are still alternatives to look for. It's just that we have to search much harder to find the correct sources, you see.
