Why did Ren ridicule Kyoko for crying over her first kiss in the previous chapter? We shall find out in this latest chapter and it's all logical, well to Ren anyway. ^_~

Ren used the reasoning of an actor to get Kyoko to forget the disastrous kiss. Being an actor means that you might have to kiss people that you don't necessary fall in love with. Kyoko thought that there must be love before a kiss could happen. However that kind of logic don't apply to actors.

With that, Ren managed to get Kyoko to stop crying over the kiss and in fact, got her to promise that if there comes a time when a real kiss happens for her, she will only do it with that fated loved person. Ren managed to put his feelings into her promise without her realizing. See below...

From the picture, we can see that Ren is actually very angry at Shou for snatching Kyoko's kiss but in the end he got Kyoko to promise to give her real loving kiss to someone who is special to her heart. So Shou's kiss was easily erased from Kyoko's memories and that is the true skill of a predator. That predator being Ren, of course. ^_^

So what is going to happen in the next chapter? The mangaka has given a hint at the last page. Kyoko's fateful present to Ren. What is it? The readers have been kept on edge for a couple of chapters now. Will all be revealed in the next chapter? I doubt it but I am hopeful though. =D

Manga Read: Kuroshitsuji Chapter 38

Finally the latest chapter to my favourite Kuroshitsuji manga has arrived! You can find it at the usual Bleach Aslyum. Don't forget to sign up to thank the team!

This is a pretty short chapter with Ciel getting some unusual visitors from the Queen's side. The 'Double Charles', as they dubbed themselves, are on the Queen's instructions to deliver a message to Ciel Phantomhive and they sure made a grand entrance by starting fights with Meyrin and Bard getting their asses kicked by them.

The most funniest part was when one of the Charles encountered Finny and in a flash, he mended Finny's tattered straw hat and topped it off with an embroidered flower. Hee...

In the end, there wasn't much to reveal about the chapter except for the last page. That page showed Sebastian horribly injured and covered in blood. That was quite interesting since he is a demon and he shouldn't even be defeated that easily, let alone getting hurt.

Perhaps he is just bidding his time while letting the enemy brings his guard down. After all, demons can be very cunning and I won't be surprised if Sebastian is playing a prank on some unfortunate soul (or not).

Nonetheless, I look forward to the next installament to this series and Yana sensei is still as awesome as before. Cheers! =D

Blog Action Day 2009: Climate Change

This year, I have decided to participate in the Blog Action Day, which focuses on climate change for 2009. You can read more about it here ~ www.blogactionday.org.

Every year, climate change remains an important part of global environmental topics and this year is no different. In Singapore, the National Environment Agency put up its own climate change programme with the slogan, "Fight Climate Change, Conserve Energy, Save Money". You can view the website here ~ National Environment Agency.

Climate change affects humanity in a number of ways. It can range from the change in weather temperature to rising sea levels to increment in cost of food. In relative to Singapore, a change in weather would meant we are getting hotter days/nights and rainier storms. This could have an adverse effect on our health, causing us to suffer from heatstroke or colds and flus.

As for cost of food, we citizens are affected directly in the pocket as we import most of our food from outside countries. Climate change can cause vegetation to wither and die, thus resulting in lesser food and pushing up the selling prices for these vegetables and fruits. Even life-stocks such as meat and fish are not spared either.

This in turn will cause our cost of living to increase and our disposable income will be affected. When that happens, consumer overall spending will decrease and in turn our national GDP will be affected and reduced.

From this we can see how a tiny change in temperature can escalate into serious national problem. When that happens, it could affect the whole global environment. That is why we need to address the issue of climate change urgently in order to prevent such a scenario from happening.

What we can do on our part as a ciziten of this Earth is to use more efficient ways to use energy to reduce our carbon footprints to help fight climate change. NEA provides some little tips that can help us in our daily lives so that we can help in the cause of climate change. There is also a little energy challenge booklet that can be downloaded for more tips on energy saving tips.

For my own part, I use fan to cool my room instead of an air-con unit but I don't own an air-con unit in my house anyway. I also use energy-saving light bulbs for lightings in my house to reduce the energy usage. These are the small little things that I can help to contribute to fight the climate change.

What about you? Please help to do your part in whatever you can to help save our mother earth. We only have 1 mother earth and it is up to us to save it with our own efforts.

Anime Watch: 07 Ghost [Update]

Finally I have completed watching the anime series, 07 Ghost. I must say, the ending is quite nicely done but it sure leaves an opening for a possible season 2.

In the later part of the anime, Teito was persuaded by Bishop Castor to take the bishop exam in order to make himself stronger to deal with Ayanami. When he decided to take the exam, Bishop Castor gave Teito a bascule but he was unable to merge his powers with the new weapon. Bishop Castor offered to give Teito training to build up his strength and use the bascule.

Later, Teito met a guy whom he initially thought was Mikage but he turned out to be a relative of the Oak family, Hakuren Oak. Hakuren had sweared off his family ties to become a bishop as his mother had been possessed by a Kor and was saved by a young Bishop Frau.

They become friends although Teito still puts Mikage as the number 1 friend in his heart. Nonetheless, they faced the obstacles together while taking the bishop exam and they managed to pass all the stages in it. Just when Teito was about to come out from the exam area, Ayanami ambushed him. Teito has his final showdown with Ayanami but before Teito could use his full powers to defeat him, Ayanami escaped along with his subordinates.

Prior to that, Ayanami's subordinates had successfully separated Teito from his Eye of Mikhail and stole it before Teito could recover. All that is left for Ayanami to do is to capture Teito. Apparently he needs both the Eye of Mikhail and Teito for some unknown plan.

After Ayanami's escape, Teito proceed to start his journey to the Land of Seele together with Frau, who had become his mentor, to find his destiny.

And so, we have come to the end of the anime and now I am suffering withdrawals from the lack of 07 Ghost. Now I am searching for the manga version of the title so that I can get more information and story background. However since the manga has been licensed, I can't find any copies on the net. I wonder which shop stocks this manga so that I can go and buy all of the volumes.

Manga Read: Penguin Prince

I have just finished reading a truly heartwarming manga titled Penguin Prince. It contains one-shots of school love stories that are very cute and heartening to read.




The title story is about a super popular and cool boy, called by the female students in the school as the prince, who actually owns a cute toy penguin. Without this penguin he will lose his cool and calm. And so this little secret of his was discovered by a girl whom the whole school students had nicknamed as the witch because of her fierce looks.

In fact she is a very kind girl who is being misunderstood and bullied by the prince's fangirls. He saw the kind side of hers and they hang out together all the time. Thus the fangirls became very jealous of the witch and schemed to put her into trouble. However this only serves to strengthen their bond into something deeper, love. Awww....

The second story is about a girl who has a crush on her fellow student and both of them were picked to represent their classical literature class in a competition. However their class is known for having the lousiest grades ever and so no one else expect them to win. But the girl is actually a top student in classical literature and the class was hoping that she will lead them to victory. And so begins a comical and sweet love story between the two students.

The third story is about a girl being forced to attend a tea ceremony class for three months in order to cultivate her into a ladylike woman. Yet her instructor is none other than the resident bad boy in her school and seeing him wearing the Japanese traditional clothes has her changing her mind.

However he is very strict in his teachings and would hit her if she makes mistakes. The girl ended up being very pissed off and was about to quit when the boy challenged her. This makes her motivated enough to try to learn and master the tea ceremony. Of course, she falls in love with the boy in the process.

However the three months class is coming to an end and she confessed to him. The boy didn't reply and she thought she was rejected. Things worsen when she learned that he had went to America after that, without seeing her again. The girl thought things had truly ended up when the boy came back to her. Apparently he went to America on a holiday trip, not immigrated to a foreign country.

This cute story has a second chapter where the boy's first crush comes back to witness his tea-making skills. If she judged that he is good in his skills, she will agree to go out with him. This makes our heroine very sad and she decided to give her blessings to the boy and his crush. However the boy forced her to go to his house and witness the tea ceremony together with his crush. In the end, the boy chose her over his former crush as he has already fallen deeply with her. It is such a sweet story that makes me cry and cheer for the girl.

The final story is about a girl who saw a boy throwing his music scores in a bin in a park. She was taken aback when he rushed off, causing her to lose an earring in the process. She thought of returning all the music scores back to the boy after picking them up in the park but was rudely rejected by the boy instead.

The boy went to apologize to her for his actions and he confided in her about his difficulties in playing the piano. The girl managed to cheer the boy and motivate him to do his best in finding the perfect play for himself as he has this ability to find things quickly and accurately. However this boy was going to transfer out of the school and the girl could no longer see him again. Until one day, she received a ticket to a concert from an unknown sender.

When she attended the concert, it was the boy who played in one of the pieces and she knew immediately that he had found himself in his musical direction and realised that she had fallen in love with him. The story ended with the two meeting up again in the same park where they met each other for the first time.

This manga is definitely worth reading and is so light-hearted yet heartwarming at the same time. It touches my heart and makes it cry for more. Too bad there's only one volume of this excellent manga.

Anime Watch: Inuyasha - The Final Act

Yay! Inuyasha is finally coming back to finish off the last volumes of the story in this brand new anime by Sunrise!

I am so happy to see this anime being listed in Anime News Network as part of a new 2009 fall anime releases. It is said to continue from where the last season left off. To be honest, I didn't watch any of the previous seasons as I don't have the full set of episodes. To find all 167 episodes is a high task indeed and one that I failed. =(

However this latest season shall not suffer the same fate. I will strive to get all episodes and watch them all. After all this is the last season for the manga and I desperately want to see Inuyasha and Kagome being together at the end of the anime. Also I'm not too sure if the previous seasons have covered Kikyo's death. If not, then this new season is most likely to cover it and I must watch it too. It was such an emotional scene for Inuyasha in the manga. *sobs*

Plus we will also get to see Sesshomaru get his arm back, together with a new, powerful sword that truly belong to him. And of course, the final defeat of Naraku, that damn, undying bastard that just refused to go away.

Inuyasha is one of my favourite manga so now they are finally continuing the series is making going all giddy in my head. Hee...

Manga Read: Skip Beat! Chapter 146

Finally after a long wait, Skip Beat! chapter 146 has arrived. Here you go!

What finally happens after that fateful kiss between Shou and Kyoko? Will there be a happy ending for Shou? Or will there be more commotion coming for Kyoko?

Well this short chapter doesn't reveal much but we get an insight of what Shou was thinking when he decided to kiss Kyoko. He did want her back after all. In fact, he want to make sure that Kyoko will not forget him and will place him in bigger volume than that of Ren's. Shou wants her to think only of him and no one else, especially Ren. He will not lose out to Ren. (but I still support Ren ^_^ )

Kyoko is feeling very depressed over her disastrous first kiss and goes moping about it everywhere. That's when Ren suddenly pops out and ridiculed her for crying over a first kiss. What on earth is Ren thinking? Well we will only have the answer in the next chapter.

I only pray it will come soon. V_V
