Bidding War No More *sobz*

Now that the bidding war is over, all that's left are just some very minor buyers who happen to be my lil green patch buddies. I suppose they are trying to help me raise up the value of my photo. See below:

So now there's nothing extraordinary to post anymore. Boring. =(

Interesting gossip on the China Fuwa

I hope the China government doesn't hit on my blog here but there is a piece of interesting news that I chanced upon during my web surfing.

Click here to go to the website. Reuters Oddly Enough reported that the Chinese netizens have been abuzz about the upcoming Olympics' Fuwa mascots in relation to the recent calamities in China.

Quote from the article explained in details about the curse of the Fuwa:

--

After a devastating earthquake struck Sichuan province last month, Internet users tied four of the five "Fuwa" mascots to the calamities that have struck China in the run-up to the Games, which begin in August. One Fuwa is a panda, the totem of Sichuan.

The others resemble a torch, reminding netizens of the protests against the international Olympic torch rally; a Tibetan antelope tied to widespead demonstrations in Tibetan areas; and a swallow that looks like a kite, linked to a deadly train crash in Shandong province.

The final Fuwa, sporting a fish, was left unexplained in the original superstition as a curse yet to come.

Unexplained, that is, until widespread flooding in southern and central China claimed dozens of lives in June.

--

Whether all these so-called are true remains to be seen. However the netizens are strongly believing in these curses more than anything else. For me, it's just another piece of interesting news, or gossip. =D

Hair Job Done

Yo... I had just came back from a rebonding session at Reds Salon at Suntec City. I had heard about this fantastic offer of $180 for a rebonding job with no hair length limits. As my hair is very long, it will suit me well as I am looking at a possible cost savings up to $200. That's a lot of money!

Plus it was Mayi who introduced the offer to me and she also recommended me her stylist whom she said is very good at styling hairs. And so I had called up the salon and fixed an appointment with Karen.

Overall I am very happy with the results. My hair went from messy to straightness/sleekness in a snap. Now I look much more presentable with well-behaved hair. It is certainly worth the $180 that I spent for.

Now that I look different from before, I wonder how long will it take for my blur mum to notice my new crown glory. She has never bother to be more concerned about my life. *sighs*

Let's wait and see. =)

Picture of the Rumoured Sony Ericsson C905

All right, I have found a picture of the rumoured Sony Ericsson C905 to go with the vivid description posted earlier. Here it is:

Looking really good, isn't it? Now all we have to do is wait. Until its official release, that is. =D

Sony Ericsson C905 Coming?

According to this blog, Sony Ericsson appears to be gearing up for a release of the most powerful handphone ever made.

The specifications are very impressive. With a 8.1 megapixel camera on board, capable of VGA video recording coupled with both xenon flash as well as photoflash, it makes for a wonderful camera gadget.

Then there's multiple connections like WIFI, Bluetooth, TV-Out Cable ITC-60 to enable that perfect LCD TV viewing pleasure, etc... Looks like this phone has really got it going for Sony Ericsson, provided it's all for REAL.

The report is not official from the company although the blog quotes that very relevant sources are confirming the phone's details.

Now.... with this phone coming along, I am starting to re-think about getting that iPhone 3G. Looks like I'm not the only one who is thinking of switching. Even handphone operator Singtel is trying to grab the lion's share of the market first by allowing for reservations to be made for that fabled iPhone 3G.

The handphone market is heating up very fast here and looks like there can only be more good deals for the consumers. Woohoo~~

iPhone 3G Coming!!!

When I checked my email just now, I got a nice little surprise (ok, it's not exactly THAT surprising) from Apple Inc. See below:

The iPhone is coming to Singapore very soon. However, reports are speculating that it will most probably arrive after its launch in other countries. That means it will be after July. Boy, I feel an impulse to buy it immediately. Clicking on the website's retailers brought me to this:

Looks like Singtel is certainly very proud of being the first operator to announce officially that it will be selling the iPhone 3G in Singapore.

In any case, I read through the specifications of the new phone and was quite disappointed with it. The camera on board is only a measly and dated 2 megapixels. My current Sony Ericsson K800i itself has a 3.2 megapixels camera. Oh gosh, can't Apple upgrade the camera specifications? In addition, there doesn't seems to be an expansion slot included into the phone.

I don't know whether it would be worthwhile to buy the phone as Apple's presence in Singapore is quite limited. Its iTunes store doesn't even include the Singapore market. So a lot of things would be pretty much useless as Apple's products are closely linked to its iTunes online store.

Only time will tell. I'm praying hard. Very hard. =P

Oopsies! Facebook?

Hi there! My photo has just gotten another new value. That's very nice! Hee...

However, the new owner of my photo seems quite determined to mark it as his and so he titled it with his name. I want to change away the ownership but it's not editable. *sighs*

Oh well. It's only a game. Nothing to worry about. ;P

More Facebook? Crazy!

Ok, I know this is getting a bit too much but I can't resist posting the latest bidding results of my photo. So here goes:

Hee.... more and more bidding comes along and pushes up the value of my photo. That's a very good thing, in my opinion. So there!

Another Boring Post on Facebook

Oh no! Here's another boring post on the same old new. It looks like I don't have anything else better to do other than post these updates of my bidding values. Heehee...

In any case, I have a brand new owner who, by the way, is one of my lil green patch friends, another wonderful but problematic application on Facebook. I shall write about it in another time. See ya! ;)

Yo! Facebook Owned!

Ha! Here's yet another rambling on the Owned updates for my profile. See below:

New owner! It's a woman fighter! LOL! Ok, I may have gone off the mark. But it's interesting to see new bidding occurs each time I logged in. It's all in a day's fun, really. =D

Wee! I got the tix to NDP Preview!

Yippee! I am very happy today. I received a call from the NDP 2008 people that I managed to get a pair of tickets to the preview at Marina Bay!

It's the first time that I am watching the National Day parade live at the scene. Too bad I didn't manage to catch any parades at the old grand dame, the National Stadium. That would have been so memorable since the National Stadium is going to make way for the new Sports Hub soon. *sighs*

With the NDP shifted to its new home at the Marina Bay, getting the tickets has become more difficult as there are lesser seats for allotment than the National Stadium. So I am very, very lucky to be able to get these preview tickets.

Well, on hindsight, it was a good thing that I applied for the preview tickets instead of the actual day tickets as those would have been much more difficult to obtain.

Man, I can't wait for June 13 to come so that I can go down to Marina Bay and collect my tickets! Wee!!!

So happy! =D

Oh No! Facebook Again!

I have been utterly smitten by this application on Facebook. Each time I log in, I would see that I gotten some new bidders and my photo value increases. Now it hits the $5,000 roof. See below:

It may not seem like a lot but to me, I am more than happy with this result. I had installed the application a long time ago and it's only recently that I see some activities on my profile. Nice. Very nice. =D

Harry Potter Stars to Attend Teen's Funeral

According to Telegraph, Daniel Radcliffe and other Harry Potter stars will be attending Robert Knox' funeral, who was tragically killed on May 16 in a knife attack.

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

It will no doubt be a sombre affair but at the same time, it's touching to know that Dan and the other stars are paying their respects to a barely known star. Such an amazing display of camaradie is indeed heartwarming.

May Robert Knox rest in peace.

Sorry But... It's Facebook Again

I had just barely blinked my eyes when the same bidder from before came back and bought back my photo. See below:

All these bidding are making me dizzy yet I wish fervently that the bidding war would continue as long as it can so that my photo's value can rise faster. It's amazing how people buy photos just like that, based on a single platform. =D

Oops! Facebook Yet Again!

I had just came back from dinner when I chanced upon this:

My gosh! I had gotten another different owner in the space of a few hours. My photo's value is definitely going up fast. Thanks to these people who are helping me to achieve this. =)

Again on Facebook

Once again, I had just logged on to the same application, Owned, and there were new bidding transactions. See below:

It's very interesting to see all these new transactions as this would force the value of my photo upwards. Boy, I am glad that people are interested in bidding a photo of me. hehe....

I know I'm being ridiculous here. Too bad then... =P

Funny thing on Facebook

There's this game on Facebook where users can buy and own their friends' photos for a price. Lately I am very amused whenever I get notifications from the applications to say my photo has been bought by another "new" owner.

The thing is, when I checked on my profile, I see the same people who had bought my photo before. Just look at the screen shots below.

The first time I logged in

The second time I logged in

The third and latest time I logged in

Interesting, isn't it? My new owners barely owns my photo for a day before its snatched away again. Maybe it stops after this posting. Heehee...
