Finally chapter 142 has arrived for us manga fans!

You can get the chapter here. It's all thanks to Franky House for giving us the chance to read this wonderful manga. I don't think I can ever get enough of this manga. It's got everything that I love.

Sensei is so awesome to draw this manga. I hope she can continue it forever! Kyoko FTW!

Right. On to the new chapter now! =D

Wee! A Second Season for Kuroshitsuji!

According to reliable source, there will be a second season for my favourite anime, Kuroshitsuji!

Season 1 ended on a dubious note and I wasn't entirely happy with the way the ending was presented. Not to mention that freaky Angela/Ash thingy that creeps people out. One moment it's a she, the next moment it's a he. Dammit, make up your mind if you wanna be a girl or a boy, Angela/Ash! Geez!

Gosh, even Sebastian has no interest in such a weird creature. Anyway I hope the new season will animate the circus arc as it is a very fantastic arc that showcases Ciel's darker side.

Since they announced that it will most probably be shown next year, Yana would have already drawn several more chapters by then. Hopefully we won't get so many filler episodes like season 1 anymore. No freaky angels please.

I also hope that season 1 will find its way to Singapore soon. Too bad all we have been getting are older anime series that are of no interest to me. When will my wish ever be granted, I wonder.

Really, the anime scene in Singapore is truly pathetic. Perhaps the tv station has no more money left to buy rights to the newer anime shows. Oh man, how I wish I can live in Japan right now. I would be in heaven!

Happy Birthday, Yoshiki Nakamura Sensei!

Today is Yoshiki Nakamura sensei's birthday. Otanjoobi Omedeto!

She is the mangaka for the popular manga series, Skip Beat! This series is one of my favourite series and so I must also give my wishes to the mangaka as well. Without sensei, we won't get to read the manga at all!

I hope all her wishes will come true and I certainly hope that she will draw lots of Kyoko and Ren so that fans like me can continue to read them in Skip Beat!

Hooray!

H1N1 Flu Situation Gets Worse in Singapore

Foreigners can be such a pain in the ass sometimes. They think they are so great when they compare themselves to Singaporeans but in reality, they are not better than any one of us here either.

Take the recent H1N1 cases for example. 1 German researcher came back from the US and 1 Indonesian man came back from Melbourne with flu symptoms yet they behaved irresponsibly by going out in to the public to spread their virus.

The German man is particular nasty. Not only he went back to his office for work, he also went shopping, attended a concert and even attended a French ambassador's function party. All these were done BEFORE he finally called 933 to admit himself to the CDC. This guy is so audacious! Who the hell does he think he is? The King of Germany?!

For the Indonesian man, he also went to do some shopping before he admitted himself to the emergency department at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. It was also reported that both had already developed the symptoms way before they flew back to Singapore. The only symptom that failed to arise at that time was fever, otherwise both guys would have already been quarantined long time ago.

These two irresponsible guys should be exposed to the public so that we can be aware of them and be certain not to go near them. The Ministry of Health should issue a health warning and a fine to them for exposing the public to health risk.

We should not be lenient on them just because they are the so-called foreign talent. Anyway if they are really foreign talents, it's obvious that they don't place any importance in our country at all. Going around the country and spreading the H1N1 virus at the same time only tell people that they are idiots. I, for one, would not have any sympathy for these guys and they should be repatriated back to their own countries and be barred from entering Singapore.

Who cares about Germany and Indonesia anyway? It's hard to be understanding towards these guys when they had obviously enjoyed themselves before surrendering over to the health authorities. Damn them to hell.

What could be worse is that if the shopping that they had done was actually at the recent PC show at Suntec City? That would have been a major disaster since there are lots of people who had attended the show.

Now we are facing the prospect of getting more people infected and thus the Ministry of Education has decided to extend the school holidays so as to ensure that students who have been abroad to afflicted countries do not spread the virus further.

Looks like there will never be an end to this whole saga. More people continue to go overseas despite travel advisories issued by the government. People are stubborn to the point of idiocracy.

Oh well, I can't be bothered about it anymore. Just give me the names of the two big idiots that I mentioned earlier. Damn them.

Manga Read: Bleach Chapter 358 to 361

Nowadays, I seldom read Bleach on a weekly basis. Instead I let the chapters accumulated and then read all of them in one go. That would be much more better than sitting around week after week, waiting for each chapter to be released.

In the meantime, I would read other mangas like Skip Beat! and Kaichou wa Maid-sama to occupy my time.

This time round, I covered Bleach chapter 358 to 361. The fight is now focused on more shinigami captains other than the initial Toshiro and Soi Fong. The two of them used their most powerful bankai to defeat their respective espadas and it still remains to be seen if they managed to eradicate them successfully or not.

Toshirou is expected to be much more powerful in future, when his powers are fully grown. So Kubo Tite probably has major plans for Toshirou in place. As for Soi Fong, she is still missing one arm, even though she managed to use her bankai, which was rather big and flashy too.

Now the shinigami captains seem to be winning their battle against the espadas, unless Kubo Tite decided to make the enemies much more stronger than they are now. So there's the possibility of the fights continuing on for quite a few more chapters before the mangaka will conclude the whole battle.

I'm guessing the battle will most likely be drawn out until around chapter 375. Maybe Ichigo's fight will also be included, if we are lucky enough. At the rate the mangaka is going, it's going to take a long time before we would know if the shinigami captains succeed in their quest to stop Aizen.

Onward Bleach!

Anime Movie Watch: My Neighbour Totoro

I know this is a very old anime movie made by Studio Ghibli, way back in 1988 but I saw this movie for the first time today. Right on my dear iPod Classic.

I came across this movie by chance and I am very glad that I have had the chance to watch it. It is a very light-hearted movie that centres around a little family that has just moved in to an old house.

Satsuki is the elder sister while Mei is the younger sister. Together they had lots of fun and share close sibling bonds.

One day, Mei sees a pair of white ears belonging to a magical creature, which eventually led her to Totoro. It was both magical and fun to see how the little Mei interact with Totoro.

Halfway through the movie, Satsuki also gets to see Totoro for the first time, while waiting for her father to come home at the bus stop. Soon the siblings share a close bond with Totoro and it was heartwarming to see how Totoro slowly opened up to them.

When Mei went missing while trying to reach her mother in the hospital, Satsuki was frantic and eventually enlisted the help of Totoro. Totoro got a catbus to search for Mei, which it did.

The movie was very nice to watch as its themes were all about family bonds and sibling bonds. The accompanying music is also very soothing to the ears and makes for an unforgettable experience. I'm glad that I have this chance to watch the movie as I was too young to understand it when it first came out.

Hayao Miyazaki is indeed a genius in developing this movie and I look forward to his movies in future.

Movie Watch: Drag Me To Hell

Last night, I went to watch Sam Raimi's latest movie with Queenie, Drag Me to Hell, at Plaza Singapura's Golden Village.

Since the film is directed by Spiderman's famed director, I can't give this movie a miss. For the most part, it was satisfying as sudden shocks and surprises jumped at the audiences in-between the storyline.

The sound effects are especially good and they succeeded in creating scares and tense atmosphere that made most of the girls in the cinema cringed in horror. But both Queenie and I were not affected as we are seasoned horror movie-goers, so there's pretty much nothing that can scare us.

Still this movie is very realistic and do borders on the ridiculous edge as well. I mean, just how much yucky liquid Sam Raimi is going make that actress swallow just to satisfy his sadistic tendencies?

The poor actress ate almost everything from maggots to flies to saliva to vomit to soil to blood. Just about everything that you can think yucky of, she's done them all in this movie. Poor Alison Lohman.

Overall the movie isn't that bad but the ending is kind of, duh. Our heroine thought she managed to escape from hell's clutches, only to be sent back right into hell by her unknowing boyfriend. And that was right after she went through the process of digging up the cursed old woman's grave and stuck the so-called accursed button right into the mouth.

What can I say, Christine? You are just fated to be in hell. Oh ho ho ho... Yeah~ that's just about it.

On a side note, while I was waiting for Queenie to arrive, I went to Sasa to get my eyebrows trimmed and the service was totally free. Oh boy that was quite a delightful find. However I did bought some items like mascara and facial masks from the shop so it's not as though I am a cheapskate person.

Right so that's just about it. =D

New iPhone 3G S Coming

I had just received an advertisement from Apple, which states that they will be launching the newest version of the iPhone, iPhone 3G S, worldwide soon.

Apple claims that this iPhone is the fastest phone yet and it will come in 16GB and 32Gb sizes. Naturally prices will be high due to the foreign exchange rates. Singtel will be bringing the phone in July 2009, that's 1 more month to go.

Let's see how the reception to the new phone will be like. My guess is that it will be phenomenal as this version addresses a lot of issues that current owners have with their iPhone 3G. I shall wait and see if it would be worthwhile to buy. Otherwise I will settle for a Japanese mobile phone instead.

I shall write more about that the next time. See ya!

Manga Read: Skip Beat! Chapter 141

Yay!

Chapter 141 has finally arrived! The story is getting more interesting as it slowly progresses along. Mind you, it's really a long and slow process. After all the mangaka did said that this is going to be a very long, long project.

Hmmm probably it might turn out to be as long as Inuyasha, another one of my favourite mangas. *grin*

Right. You can get the new chapter here. You might have to register in order to get it, I'm not sure. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth joining Franky House. They have so many awesome releases! They are truly a god-send to us manga fans. =D

Ok, onward to the new chapter! See ya!
