This is a very interesting article on how to maximize Gmail usage with keyboard shortcuts as addressed in this writeup.
The only thing is, I could barely remember all the letters for shortcuts and I doubt I would ever learn since I am still using my trackpad to scroll the webpages.
Hmmm... but it's worth a try though. =)
